Calling all job seekers and career shifters! Head over to SM City Bacolod on March 21!
The City of Bacolod is inviting all jobseekers to participate in the upcoming job fair organized by its Public Employment Service Office (PESO), in partnership with DOLE. Over 7,000 vacancies are waiting to be filled by employers and overseas employment agencies who will be accepting applications and conducting interviews. Lucky jobseekers may even have the opportunity to be hired on the spot.
PESO Manager Jovelyn Canoy encourages the public to take advantage of this opportunity. She said that the Job Fair aims to help jobseekers apply to several companies of their choice in one convenient location, so as to save on time, costs and efforts on the part of the applicants.
“Helping Bacolodnons be employed is a mandate of Mayor Albee Benitez for PESO and this job fair is just one of the many recurring recruitment events we have prepared for the public,” she said.
This job fair is open to all unemployed, skilled and unskilled workers, fresh graduates, graduates of training institutions, displaced workers, and employees seeking advancement. Vacancies gathered by PESO cover industries in retail, sales and advertising, manufacturing and production, domestic services, health and wellness, construction and engineering, machinery, finance, BPOs, marine industry, medical/ healthcare professionals, among other industries.
Overseas employment agencies are looking to fill over 2,000 vacancies for nurses and midwives, dental technicians, engineers, salons and spa therapists, beauticians, heavy equipment and machine operators, construction and related jobs, housekeeping attendants, restaurant workers, cooks, teachers, seafarers and many more.
On the other hand, the Philippine Army is looking to enlist at least 800 vacancies! Members of the Philippine Army are entitled to competitive pay and allowances, healthcare benefits, and other opportunities in career development.
Job applicants should bring their resumes or biodatas and come in the appropriate attire one would wear for a job interview.
The Bacolod PESO JOB Fair is on March 21, 2023 from 9AM to 4PM at the main atrium of SM City Bacolod.
