P1.1-M worth of ‘shabu’ seized in 4 drug busts

BACOLOD City – An estimated total of P1,172,500 worth of suspected shabu were seized in four buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental since October 20.

The biggest drug haul was conducted here at Barangay Bata early Tuesday, which resulted in the confiscation of P975,000 worth of suspected shabu from Guillermo Lebosana, 40; Ariel Jimeno, 31; Regie Saberon, 34; and Junmar Gerardino, 39.

Personnel of Police Station 3 recovered from them 16 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 65 grams, the P1,000 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Police Major Ruel Culanag, head of Police Station 3, said they are still investigating the source and distribution areas of the seized contraband. They are also probing if Lebosana is part of a drug group here.

Over the weekend, Ryan Alib, 39, of Barangay Vista Alegre here was arrested at Barangay 19 here last Sunday, after police seized from him six sachets of suspected shabu weighing four grams worth P60,000, the P500 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P500 cash. Alib is detained at Police Station 4.

In Silay City, Rocky Limboy, 34; Richard Fuentes, 37; and Rosalie Barnuevo, 42, all residents of Barangay Lantad were arrested at the said village last Monday, after police recovered from them nine grams of suspected shabu worthP135,000, drug paraphernalia, P180 cash, P4,000 boodle money, and P500 marked money.

In Sagay City, George Dulce, 34, of Barangay Cabahug, Cadiz City, was arrested at Barangay Paraiso that day, for the confiscation of a sachets of suspected shabu worth P2,500, and the P500 marked money.
