P2.8-M worth of illegal drugs seized in Aliño’s 1st month

BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized P2,831,921.20 worth of illegal drugs here during the first month of Police Colonel Noel Aliño, BCPO acting director, covering April 18 to May 16.

Based on data from the BCPO, 416.459 grams of suspected shabu and 0.198 grams of suspected marijuana were confiscated.

Policemen arrested 57 drug personalities from 47 police operations.

Aliño was reassigned to BCPO on April 18, replacing Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir who retired from the police service on May 14.

For the campaign against wanted persons, 51 persons were arrested, including 16 Most Wanted Persons (MWP) and 35 Other Wanted Persons (OWP).

In the anti-illegal gambling campaign, 26 police operations were conducted, which resulted in the apprehension of 85 violators and the confiscation of P6,403 bet money.

For the campaign against loose firearms, 17 police operations were conducted and four individuals were arrested.

Twelve loose firearms were surrendered, three unrenewed firearms were deposited, and three explosives were confiscated.
