BACOLOD City – Twelve persons, including a minor were arrested, while P214,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental from July 29 to 31.
Three persons were apprehended here in Barangays Mansilingan, Tangub, and 15, which resulted in the recovery of P118,800 worth of suspected shabu.
The biggest drug haul here was reported in Barangay 15, that led to the arrest of Obrien Dela Fuente, 31, of Barangay Banago here, who allegedly yielded 12 grams of suspected shabu worth P81,600.
In the province, nine persons were arrested in the cities of San Carlos and Talisay, and the town of Binalbagan.
P95,200 worth of the said contraband was confiscated.
The operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental and San Carlos City Police Station resulted in the dismantling of an alleged drug den in Barangay 5, San Carlos City.
Authorities also arrested alleged drug maintainer Nico Allera, and six others, including a 17-year-old boy.
PDEA also confiscated 12 grams of suspected shabu worth P81,600, the marked money, and drug paraphernalia.
The operation was launched following a report from concerned citizens through
“Isumbong Mo Kay Wilkins (IMKW),” a social media platform of PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva, wherein concerned citizens can report illegal drug activities in their communities.
