Police recovered around 40 grams of suspected shabu in a police anti-narcotics operation evening of May 24, 2021 in Arevalo, Iloilo City.
Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU)-6 valued the seized substance at P272,000.
Members of the RPDEU-6, together with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and Arevalo Police Station, collared Renan Aristoza in a buy-bust operation at Zone 6, Barangay Sto. Niño Norte, Arevalo district.
The 32-year-old Aristoza, a resident of Barangay Desamparados, Jaro, Iloilo City, allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P13,000 to a police undercover agent.
He later yielded 8 more sachets of suspected shabu, a mobile phone, and other non-drug items.
Aristoza allegedly sourced his supply from a drug personality in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao.
It was gathered that it was Aristoza’s second drug-related arrest. He was also apprehended following a buy bust operation in 2016.
Aristoza is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
