P425,000 in ‘shabu’ seized in 3 days

BACOLOD City – A three-day drug haul here resulted in the seizure of P425,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrest of six persons in separate buy-bust operations.

The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported the biggest operation at Barangay 6 last Saturday, which led in the recovery of 16 grams of suspected shabu worth P240,000, and the P500 marked money.

Police arrested Junel Salazar, 36, of the said village. He is a high value target, who was previously arrested and was released through plea bargaining.

Salazar is detained at Police Station 3.

Also arrested that day at Barangay Taculing was Juanito Belleza, 49, of Celine Homes in Barangay Estefania here.

Police seized from Belleza nine sachets of suspected shabu worth P12,000, the P300 marked money, and a motorcycle. He is detained at Police Station 6.

On the same day, Robert Chiquito, 42, of Barangay Handumanan was arrested after police confiscated from him three sachets of suspected shabu worth P6,000, and the P200 marked money.

Chiquito is a drug surrenderer and a street level target under the drug watchlist of Police Station 10.

Last Friday, John Judelle Rafols, 23, of Barangay Cabug was arrested at the said village after he allegedly yielded eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing seven grams worth P87,000, and the P500 marked money.

Rafols, a street level target, is detained at Police Station 8.

Two persons were also arrested by personnel of Police Station 2 that day at Barangay 8.

Police arrested Esmeralda Derla, 43, of Barangay Vista Alegre, a street level target; and Andrew Villaflor, 32, of Barangay Tangub.

Authorities recovered from them four sachets of suspected shabu weighing six grams worth P80,000, drug paraphernalia, and the P500 marked money.
