BACOLOD City – Police seized about one kilogram of suspected shabu worth P6.8 million in a drug raid at Purok Mangga, Habitat 2, Barangay Balogo, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental last Thursday.
Arrested was Renato Cadano, 35, of the said village, who is said to be a high value individual, according to the police.
Armed with a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Gerardo Paguio Jr. in Dumaguete City, police raided Cadano’s house and also recovered drug paraphernalia.
The operation was led by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), together with Dumaguete City Police Station and Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU)-7.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Joeson Parallag, city police chief, said Cadano is also watchlisted.
But he refused to reveal the suspect’s profile while investigation is ongoing.
Drug charges are being readied against Cadano.
