P618K worth of shabu seized in three drug stings in Iloilo City

Six persons were arrested and more than P618,000 worth of shabu was seized in three separate police anti-narcotics operations in Iloilo City in a span of 16 hours.

Police identified the suspects as Danilo Almores, 41, of Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao, Iloilo City; Wera Divinagracia, 29, of Barangay Lapuz Sur, Iloilo City; John Rondyl Chavez, 24, of Barangay 2, Tigbauan, Iloilo; Baby Jean Labrador, 18, of Barabgay Salong, Batad, Iloilo.

Chavez and Labrador are temporarily staying at Barangay North Baluarte, Molo, Iloilo City.

Also arrested were Abraham Enriquez, 43, of Barangay Kasing-Kasing, Molo; and Elezarre Gonzales, 41, of Barangay Ungka, Jaro, Iloilo City.

Members of the Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) nabbed Chavez and Labrador at Barangay Sto. Niño Norte, Arevalo district around 9:40 p.m. on April 15.

Chavez, a high-value individual drug personality in Iloilo province, and Labrador allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth P6,000 to a police poseur buyer.

The suspects yielded four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 10 grams and valued at P68,000.

At 2:20 a.m. of the following day, Almores and Divinagracia were arrested at Barangay Sambag, Jaro.

The ICPO-CDEU team seized 70 grams of shabu worth P476,000 from their possession.

Meanwhile, members of Iloilo City Police Station 4 arrested Enriquez and Gonzales at Barangay Kasing-Kasing, Molo at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The duo allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P3,000.

Following their arrest, three more sachets of suspected shabu were taken from their possession.

The shabu seized weighed around 11 grams and has a value of P74,800.

All suspects are now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
