BACOLOD City – A 30-year-old man was busted with 95 grams of suspected shabu worth P646,000 at Purok Roadside 2, Barangay Alijis here last Saturday.

Operatives of the Special Operations Unit (SOU)-Western Visayas-Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), along with the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU)-Western Visayas, and the Integrity Monitoring Enforcement Group (IMEG) Visayas Field Unit, arrested a certain “Hapon,” of the said village.

Police Captain Dax Santillan, head of Police Station 6, said they were tapped in the operation as the meeting place of the transaction was supposed to be under the area of Police Station 6.

However, since they were moving, they ended up in Barangay Alijis, which is under the area of Police Station 7, he added.

Santillan said that it was the first time for the suspect to be arrested for an offense.

Recoveries from the suspect included 10 sachets of suspected shabu, marked money, and other non-drug items.

Drug charges are being readied against the suspect who is detained at Police Station 6.
