BACOLOD City – Police seized an estimated total of P850,000 worth of suspected shabu from two persons in separate buy-bust operations here on Thursday night.

Personnel of Police Station 2 arrested 24-year-old Jessrel Loraña in Barangay 10 for the confiscation of 75 grams of suspected shabu worth P510,000.

Captain Glenn Montaño, head of Police Station 2, said that Loraña was previously arrested for a drug offense and was later released from jail through a plea bargaining agreement.

Aside from this operation, Rolyn Padilla, 48, of Barangay 19 here, was also busted at his boarding house in Barangay Taculing.

He allegedly yielded 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, according to Police Captain Portia Nillosan, head of Police Station 5.

Nillosan said that it took them a few months to monitor the suspect following reports about his alleged engagement in illegal drugs.

However, Nillosan said that the suspect refused to reveal other information such as the source of the contraband.

Also recovered from Padilla were three improvised tooters, a lighter, the P2,000 marked money, and P750.

Both suspects are tagged as high value individuals, according to the police.
