Pa, son nabbed in Silay drug sting

BACOLOD City – Police arrested an elderly man and his son in a buy-bust operation at Sitio So-ol 1, Barangay 2, Silay City, Negros Occidental yesterday.

Arrested were Joselin Bito-on, 67, and his son Michael, 39, both residents of the said village.

The younger Bito-on allegedly sold a shabu to a police agent for P2,800 during a transaction, according to a police report.

Police seized 11 grams of suspected shabu worth P74,800.

The younger Bito-on is a street level individual, while his father is a newly-identified individual, according to the police.

Drug charges are being readied against the two suspects.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca, city police chief, said the two suspects have no previous cases.
