Bobby Ray Parks Jr. had the better of young Gilas star Dwight Ramos as the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins crushed the Toyama Grouses, 94-68, in their first meeting in the Japan B. League.

It was a battle of Gilas cadets as Parks Jr. prevailed over the current Gilas core superstar.

Parks Jr. finally broke out of his B. League shooting slump after firing 15 huge points including a much-needed offensive barrage when the Dolphins started to pull away and take a comfortable lead in the third frame.

The hefty lefty scored 10 of his 15 points in the third quarter as he put on an offensive clinic when he connected on most of his three-pointers and drove down the lane at will.

Meanwhile, Ramos, who just cleared his two-week quarantine and was immediately called up to play 29 heavy minutes, scored only six points in his debut on 3/14 shooting from the field.

Despite Ramos’ offensive struggles against Nagoya, the Filipino young star had seven rebounds and three dimes, showing his all-around game.

It was only former NBA player Brice Johnson who scored double figures for Ramos’ team after contributing 15 points while the rest failed to reach 10 points.
