With the people left clueless after the PBA suddenly announced that they will be postponing all games until further notice, the league has announced they will continue the season.

The PBA Philippine Cup will be resuming its games on November 3, Tuesday, after a new set of safety protocols were set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and the Department of Health (DOH).

A week ago, two personnel inside the bubble, one referee and one player were tested positive for COVID-19 and both IATF and DOH thought that stricter measures should be applied to avoid additional incidents.

Among the newly added health protocols inside the PBA bubble were: the player from the Blackwater Elite who tested positive and now, negative, will have to complete a 10-day isolation from the date of his swabbing.

Next, those who will test positive for the next batch of swab tests will be required to complete a 14-day quarantine before coming back to the bubble.

There will also be an independent marshall who will be stationed in the bubble to oversee and ensure that these health and safety protocols are being followed as recommended by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Lastly, a separate quarantine facility will be assigned within the Clark Freeport Zone in coordination with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC).

“We would like to reiterate that the PBA bubble has not been breached, but we must always strengthen our protocols in consultation with the IATF and NTF to ensure the safety of everyone in the bubble,” read the PBA statement.
