Ariel Vanguardia is continuing to help his fellow coaches whose means of livelihood were badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Currently a part of the coaching staff of the Blackwater Elite, Vanguardia has been conducting fund-raising activities to help unemployed coaches, one of which is his International Coaches Hoop Webinar who drew tons of praises from local and international tacticians

Due to the ongoing pandemic, a lot of coaches are still unemployed because of the absence of contact sports, so to help them, coach Vanguardia is putting up a delivery application at Calamba, Laguna.

Vanguardia’s requirement for every coach who’s interested in the initiative is to have one motorcycle rider.

The app, which he named “DELiBER,” is a combination of the word DEL to represent delis while BER is for the term driver.

“During the lockdown of this pandemic, I was doing webinars also as a means of fund-raising for coaches and staff affected by the lack of basketball leagues. It started when I was sub-contracting them to do disinfecting mats via online selling. Then we encountered problems shipping grocery packs and items sold during the auction. So I came up with the idea of having a delivery service,” Vanguardia said.

If the delivery application will be successful in his hometown, coach Vanguardia is planning to expand DELiBER to CALABARZON and Manila.

“If we do well, then we expand to the CALABARZON area and hopefully, Manila. This way, we are teaching them to fish rather than give them fish,” added Vanguardia.
