Ping Exciminiano, a current PBA player under the contract of the Rain or Shine Elastopainters, had just ruptured his Achilles tendon in a ligang libas game.

Playing in a ligang labas is stated to be a violation in the PBA rule book, and if one got caught having involvement in such activity, a suspension or a fine must be committed by the PBA management.

In line with Exciminiano’s issue, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial warned everybody in the PBA of how such violation can affect a player’s career moving forward.

“Alalay rin dapat sila, huwag naman yung go-hard. Alam mo naman sa basketball, one crossover, one rebound, one drive, one play ka lagi away from injury. Kaya dapat ingat din yung mga players sa ganyan,” said Marcial.

As of now, Exciminiano still has not contacted any team member from the Rain or Shine management or even sought help from the PBA office.

Marcial said that if Exciminiano would ask help from the PBA, the management would offer what assistance may be given to one of the best defenders in the league.
