The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) just released its full 2022 Commissioner’s Cup conference elimination schedules.
After the San Miguel Beermen’s triumph during the recently concluded PBA Philippine Cup, the biggest league in the Philippines is set to kick off the import-laced conference this September until December.
Yesterday, the PBA committee already laid out all of the elimination games set to take place on September 21 to November 27.
Featuring the opening of games in the Commissioner’s Cup is a heated clash between the Blackwater Bossing and the guest foreign team Bay Area Dragons.
After the duel between Blackwater and Bay Area, Robert Bolick and the rest of the NorthPort Batang Pier will test the new unit of the Phoenix Fuel Masters Super LPG.
This is the first conference where the Fuel Masters will be missing the services of superstar Matthew Wright who already signed with a Japan B. League team and main forward Jason Perkins who was ruled out of the year due to a knee surgery.
One of the most highly-anticipated matchups in the conference between the Rain or Shine Elastopainters and the NLEX Road Warriors will then take place on September 23.
Former head coach of the Road Warriors, Yeng Guiao, reunited with the Elastopainters and will face the team he groomed to become a playoff squad for six long years.
All eyes will also be on the Barangay Ginebra team as the returning Justin Brownlee, one of the winningest imports to ever set foot in the PBA, is back to give the SMC franchise another championship trophy.
A total of 39 competing days will compose the Commissioner’s Cup elimination schedule and is still subject to change if ever a conflict with the FIBA qualifiers happens.
