The PBA committee recently announced that they will formally open its 3×3 professional league in its 45th season.

With the 3×3 basketball format taking the country by storm, the PBA also decided to have their own 3×3 league to be the main avenue of those who excel in the format more than the 5×5.

All 12 teams in the PBA will join the 3×3 including two new teams namely: Mighty Bond and Dunkin Donuts.

However, the player selection process is totally different from the 5×5 where they draft and acquire players every season.

In the 3×3 format, all teams will have the freedom to choose their players without the presence of the PBA draft and trades.

The rise of the 3×3 format up to the Olympics is proof that it has now started its era in the world of sports and with the help of Chooks-to-Go in the PH, it finally has the attention it deserves.
