PDEA dismantles 3 ‘drug dens’, seizes P224,400 in ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – Three alleged drug dens were dismantled and 20 persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here on February 22 and 23, 2021.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-6 Special Enforcement Team (SET) seized about PHP224,400 worth of suspected shabu in three operations.

The first operation was conducted at Purok Cheriza II, Barangay 27 last Monday, which resulted in the apprehension of alleged drug den maintainer Rigor Diaz.

According to PDEA-6 information officer Shey Tanaleon, seven others were also caught allegedly holding pot session.

About 12 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP81,600, sachets with suspected shabu residue, improvised tooters, lighters, and marked money were confiscated by PDEA agents.

The following day, another purported drug den was raided by PDEA operatives in Barangay Banago.

PDEA arrested alleged drug den maintainer Romeo Gain; and six others who were also reportedly holding pot session, Tanaleon said.

Authorities recovered from them 11 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP74,800, improvised tooters, several empty plastic sachets, plastic straw used as an improvised scoop, a pair of scissors, lighters, improvised clipper, improvised blade cutter, and marked money.

Also arrested last Tuesday in Barangay Singcang-Airport here were suspected drug den maintainer Mary Joy Glaraga, and four others.

Seized during the operation were 10 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP68,000, improvised tooters, lighters, and the marked money.

All 20 suspects will be facing drug charges.
