Pension house loses more than P300K cash to robbers

BACOLOD City – Police are probing the alleged robbery incident that happened inside a pension house in Barangay 9, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last Friday.

Based on the investigation, three unidentified armed men allegedly entered the open window of the two collectors who booked a room at the pension house that day.

The suspects, reportedly armed with a shotgun, allegedly threatened at gunpoint the two victims identified as Godfrey Calvez, 33, of Barangay Mandalagan here, and Romel Magallones, 29, of La Carlota City, including their three companions, and allegedly carted away their P320,894.26 cash collection.

The robbers also took their cellular phones and fled.

Police records indicated that the perpetrators were around 5 feet and 4 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium built, wearing jackets, and around 35 years old.
