Everyone believes that the Petro Gazz Angels will undergo a rough incoming season after letting go five of its key players, but the newly acquired members will surely bring delight and excitement to fans.

Petro Gazz’s release of Jonah Sabete, Jeanette Panaga, Cherry Nunag, Kai Nepomuceno-Baloaloa and Jovie Prado will be replaced by Kath Arado, Ria Meneses, Mean Mendrez, and Seth Rodriguez.

The newly landed free agents will provide the much-needed boost as they are no strangers to the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and are known to be savvy veterans who can provide impact to a team.

Aside from the veteran presence of Arado and Meneses, the Petro Gazz management decided to mix things up and acquire two of the most exciting young players in Mendrez and Rodriguez.

Both Mendrez and Rodriguez confirmed that they will be foregoing their final playing year with the University of the East and will jump straight to the professional league.

Two of the most highly-touted middle blockers in the UAAP, Mendrez and Rodriguez are expected to fill in Panaga and Nunag’s spots as Petro Gazz’s top blockers.
