After two weeks of intensive training in Japan, PH volleyball men’s head coach Dante Alinsunsurin said that the boys are all set and ready for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Undergoing thorough training that included twelve tune-up matches against experienced Japanese volleyball clubs, Alinsunsurin stated that the boys are ready for any style, claiming that the Japanese foes gave them the training they needed to win.
With the various SEA squads playing with different approaches to the game, he also said that the Japanese clubs gave them flexible styles of game that made it hard for them to adjust at first but went on to be smooth in the last days of training.
Bolstered by the return of Marck Espejo, the team is looking for a strong finish this year, with a core group of explosive athletes like Rex Intal and Ranran Abdilla.
The 2019 SEA Games volleyball event will start this December 2, 2019.
