The Philippines Women’s National Football Team is ready for any challenge Hong Kong will throw at them as they meet on the pitch today for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers.

Fresh off a come-from-behind victory against Nepal, the PH Malditas are eager to score their second win in a row in the prestigious tournament.

Philippines head coach Marlon Maro bared they are now ready against Hong Kong and are hoping for a valiant effort from his women booters when they set foot on the pitch.

With their win against Nepal, the PH Malditas will only be needing a draw to book their ticket to the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup in India.

However, the coaching staff emphasized that they will be gunning for a win to boost their point total and bag a higher rank in the group standings.

Nepal and Hong Kong figured in a draw in their previous match. If the PH Malditas win against Hong Kong, they will have the chance to top their group and carry momentum.

“I think we feel a good level of momentum going into the next game. We will make adjustments as needed, but we also know that if we win this upcoming game then we qualify for the next round. Knowing that is enough motivation to be ready and excited for the game on Friday,” said Tahnai Annis, the one who scored the PH’s first goal against Nepal.
