SAN JOSE, Antique – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) recognized the winners of this year’s PhilHealth Quiz Contest Provincial level Elimination.
Donna Grace Andico, with Coach Rechelle G. Candari, of Pandan National Vocational School was declared Champion out of 21 participating secondary schools in the province.
Andico will represent the province in the Regional level competition.
Chief Local Insurance Officer Junie Sabusap said the Province of Antique was the first to conduct the provincial elimination in Region 6.
Gideon Cabigunda Memorial School was declared 1st runner up represented by Jellian Jestine M. Blancia with Coach May S, Millamena while 2nd runner up was won by Hannah Mae E. Blancia with Coach Donna D. Tan of San Pedro National High School.
The contest hoped to enhance the partnership of Department of Education and PhilHealth with the inclusion of PhilHealth programs in MAPEH (Music Arts, Physical Education and Health).
It is also aimed at increasing the awareness of students on the programs and services of Philhealth especially enhancing their level of appreciation on the importance of being Philhealth member.
Sabusap said that the Universal Health Law assured all Filipinos are covered by PhilHealth. (PSM/PIA-Antique)
