Philsutech Farm Tour Set for Feb. 20-21

BACOLOD CITY – The Philippine Sugar Technologists Association, Inc. (Philsutech) invites sugar industry stakeholders to the Technology Transfer & Educational Farm Tour 2025, scheduled for Feb. 20-21.

Spearheaded by the Agriculture & Farm Engineering Division, the two-day event kicks off with technology transfer sessions at the Planta Hotel in Bacolod City on Feb. 20. Topics on farm productivity and cost efficiency will be discussed.

The second day, Feb. 21, features an educational tour at Hda. Lucas Farm in Kabankalan City.

In line with its goal of providing continuous education on various aspects of sugar production technology, Philsutech offers technical training for its members and other industry stakeholders.

Simultaneously with the technology transfer and farm tour, the Applied Technology on Bioenergy and Environmental Management Seminar will be held at the Planta Hotel on Feb. 20-21. This seminar provides updates on government policies related to environmental management and pollution control and is credited as continuing education units for environmental and pollution control professionals, particularly in the sugar industry.

Additionally, the Management Division will hold a one-day seminar, “Future-Ready Leadership: Integration of Values and AI in the Sugar Industry,” at the Planta Hotel on Feb. 21.

The Applied Technology on Sugar Processing (ATSP), organized by the Engineering Division, is set for March 3-7 at Palmas del Mar Resort in Bacolod City.

Meanwhile, the Applied Technology on Energy Management & Utilization (ATEMU), organized by the Bioenergy & Environmental Management Division, will take place March 17-21 at Palmas del Mar Resort.

The much-awaited 71st Philsutech Annual National Convention is scheduled for Aug. 11-15 at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.
