The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region 6 and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 6 have expanded their collaboration to streamline services for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Western Visayas.

As of December 2024, 261,120 4Ps beneficiaries in Region 6 have completed biometric authentication under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).

This initiative aims to enhance identity verification, ensuring efficient and accurate delivery of social services.

Between October and December 2024, PhilSys registered an additional 6,176 individuals in Region 6.

The PSA has integrated PhilSys registration with Family Development Sessions (FDS), a critical compliance activity for 4Ps beneficiaries to access conditional cash grants.

PSA Region 6 and DSWD Region 6 stressed the importance of preventing duplication in service delivery while ensuring benefits reach the rightful recipients.

This integration improves the integrity and efficiency of social protection programs, contributing to more effective service delivery.

“The initiative prevents duplication and ensures that services reach the intended beneficiaries, enhancing the integrity and efficiency of social protection programs,” PSA Region 6 said in a statement.
