The Step 2 registration of Philippine Identification System that was temporarily stopped last Jan 3, 2022 has resumed on Jan 24, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Iloilo
The PhilSys Step 2 Registration are now ongoing at the following fixed registration centers: SM City Iloilo, Robinsons Place Iloilo, and Midtown Hotel Annex Bldg., Yulo St.
Mobile Barangay Registration also resumed operations in Iloilo City and the municipalities of Barotac Nuevo, Cabatuan, Calinog, Carles, Concepcion, Dumangas, Estancia, Janiuay, Lambunao, Maasin, Miag-ao, Pototan, San Enrique, San Rafael, Santa Barbara, Sara, and Tigbauan.
Focal Person Jared Xerxes Barile informed the public that registration centers entertain walk-in applicants.
Registrations are more inclusive as registrants will only present their Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) whether issued by the Local Civil Registry Office, PSA, or the National Statistics Office. Certified True Copy of the document will also be accepted.
Use Cases for the PhilIDs are continuously being studied and developed.
PSA’s pilot roll-out services such as updating of details, correction of entries, and reissuance of PhilIDs are all scheduled within the later part of this year and as well as the Step 2 Registration for special groups, resident aliens, and children below 5 years old.
PSA Iloilo has reached its target to register more than 1.6 million people in Iloilo last year and aims to reach a total of 813,400 registrants this year.
