THE Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPOST) is celebrating its month-long Corporate Anniversary starting on (April 01), marking its 27 years of fulfilling its objective of providing an efficient and on-time delivery of communications, goods and payment services of every Filipino Community.
PHLPost commemorate its anniversary with the passing of Republic Act 7354, otherwise known as the Philippine Postal Service Act of 1992 paved the way for the corporatization of then Postal Service Office (PSO).
While PHLPost continues to maintain its traditional mail delivery services to serve communities who are not yet linked electronically, it has gone beyond tradition to stay relevant, competitive and still serving the postal needs of every Filipino.
The month-long celebration started with the Mondays flag raising ceremony (April 01) followed with a thanksgiving mass which was held at the lobby of the historical building of Manila Central Post Office in Liwasang Bonifacio.
The PHLPost will also kick off its month-long service program for its employees and the public who continue to patronize the postal system.
Among these is the launching and unveiling of Filipino Centenarian stamps with Mayor Joseph Estrada at the Manila City Hall (April 04), issuance of commemorative Birth Centennial stamps of National Artists: Francisco Coching – Visual Arts (April 19) and Edith Tiempo Literature (April 19), Area wide corporate anniversary including the opening of Annual Summer Sportsfest (volleyball, bowling, dart, chess, etc.) to be held at PHLPost 3rd flr. Quadrangle (April 26), and Blood Letting Drive (April 29). The activities will culminate with a family day activities on May 24.
