PHP1.6-M worth of ‘shabu’ seized in 3 days

BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized PHP1,675,800 worth of suspected shabu, with City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) scoring the biggest hauls in the past three days.

On February 25, 2021, the CDEU arrested Gino Inventor, 28, of Barangay 1 after police seized from him 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 100 grams and valued at PHP680,000.

Inventor also yielded a .38-caliber revolver, a fired cartridge of the same caliber, three live ammunitions, the PHP5,000 marked money, and a motorcycle.

Inventor, a high value individual, was wounded during the operation in Barangay Alijis when he allegedly opened fire at police officers, prompting the latter to retaliate and wounding his right foot.

On that same day, Romeo Imperial Jr., 21; and Christian John Andiano, 20 were also arrested by CDEU at Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2.

Police confiscated from them the PHP500 marked money, and eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing 11 grams and valued at PHP74,800. Both suspects are detained at Police Station 2.

The following day, Glaiza Alvaran, 34, of Barangay Tangub; Leobert Polvora, 40, of Barangay Villamonte; and Jonave Umadhay, 44, of Barangay Handumanan were also arrested by CDEU at Barangay Tangub.

Police seized from them the PHP500 marked money, 27 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 105 grams and valued at PHP714,000; PHP1,000 cash, and a digital weighing scale.

All three suspects are detained at Police Station 8.

On February 24, Eugene Pillada, 39, of Barangay 20 was arrested by personnel of Police Station 8 in a drug bust at Barangay Singcang Airport.

Police recovered from him the PHP2,000 marked money, and seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing 30.5 grams and valued at PHP207,000.
