From the Dinagyang basketball cup and now the Pintados tournament, DPWH continues to dominate the local basketball scene.
Team DPWH garnered a drubbing victory against the Ogtonganons, 103-77, in the 1st Mayor Stephen Palmares Pintados de Passi Open Invitational basketball tournament.
From start to finish, the veteran DPWH squad bullied team Ogtonganons in the paint, man-handling them during post-up situations.
Team Ogtonganons tried to keep up with DPWH’s high-octane offense but were ultimately left in the dust, unable to mount a comeback run in the second half.
Pusoy Arenal led the charge for DPWH as he torched team Ogtonganons with his sweet three-point shooting, chalking up 19 big points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Meanwhile, the XYZ/TOTO-TIA-TEN got the much-needed victory to keep their playoff hopes alive after dismantling PNP, 100-63.
Marvin Cuerbo had a statement game after shooting flat against JKG Mamba, pouring in 29 points against PNP.
The young guns of XYZ/TOTO-TIA-TEN relentlessly look to push the tempo with each possession that made it hard for PNP to keep up.
