The PLDT High Speed Hitters just added another offensive star to their roster and will enter the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) conference with hopes of punching a ticket to the grand finals round.

PLDT welcomed former Army Lady Trooper Royse Tubino with open arms last May 29, 2023, and will see action soon as the PVL conference kicks off this year.

The High Speed Hitters drew interest in signing the veteran outside spiker after her mother team Army will be making a temporary absence from the professional league due to the unavailability of their players.

Tubino, one of the most consistent scorers in the last conference of the PVL, will be reinforcing an already talented PVL squad led by team captain and superstar middle blocker Mika Reyes.

The former NCAA women’s volleyball Most Valuable Player (MVP) was listed as a special guest player and will be eligible to play as long as her contract is still live.

With Tubino’s addition, the High Speed Hitters will finally cover up for their inconsistent offense and is expected to bring an immediate scoring impact.

PLDT was near to clinching its postseason hopes last conference but only settled for fourth place behind F2 Logistics, Creamline, and Petro Gazz.

Tubino will be teaming up with Rhea Dimaculangan, Mich Morente, Jovelyn Prado, Mean Mendrez, Kat Arado, and Jules Samonte.

In order to tap the services of Tubino, the High Speed Hitters released Ysa Jimenez and setter Wendy Semana to free up their lineup.
