A lineman working for PLDT died from electrocution morning of February 27, 2021 in San Miguel, Iloilo.

It was initially thought that Leonard Salarza, 30, of Barangay San Jose, San Miguel, Iloilo, would survive the incident after a passenger jeepney driver performed cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to revive him.

A jeepney driver immediately went to Salarza’s aid.

There were reports that it took a while for the ambulance to arrive, prompting police authorities to bring him to the hospital on board a multi-cab.

On Friday, a security guard was also killed in Mandurriao, Iloilo City after he touched an open wire at a construction site.

Rey Doctor, 36, of Dumangas, Iloilo, was doing part-time welding works at the Mandurriao Elementary School when the incident happened.
