ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Capiceña Ramilyn Andrade and her Korean partner Teah Yeong Kim are not registered to recruit Filipinos who want to work abroad.
Atty. Lynda Llave, Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) officer-in-charge, issued a certification on Monday stating that Andrade, Leah Jean Ruda, and Teah Yeong Kim are not licensed nor authorized to recruit workers for overseas employment.
The certification was issued upon request of POEA-6 officer-in-charge Rhea Glynda Dao Calantas.
Llave advised job seekers to only apply overseas jobs with firms registered or authorized by POEA.
More than 200 individuals had trooped to the office of Gov. Esteban Evan Nonoy Contreras to ventilate their grievances against Andrade and her alleged Korean partner Kim Tae Yong.
The duo is now nowhere to be found after promising to send the recruits to Busan, South Korea to work in factories in exchange for placement fees.
