Filipina-American pole vaulter Natalie Uy bagged the bronze medal during the recently concluded 2021 Golden Fly Series held at Phuket, Thailand.

The former Southeast Asian Games gold medalist cleared the 4.21-meter mark and was enough to end her campaign with a podium finish.

Holly Bradshaw of Great Britain won the gold medal after completing the 4.51-meter mark while Kristen Brown of the United States ranked second.

Uy will look to cap off her year with stellar finishes after her gold medal campaign during the Rocket Man Pole Vault Summer Series 2021 Meet No. 9 in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Aside from her back-to-back medal wins, Uy is still the record-holder in the Southeast Asian Games women’s pole vaulting cleared height with 4.30 meters.

The 4.30 meters cleared height also became the Philippines’ newest record after Uy broke the 4.25-meter tally that stood tall for several years.

Filipino superstar EJ Obiena also graced the competition last September during the Innsbruck leg where he cleared 5.93 meters.
