Heeding the call of the Environmental Management Bureau Region VI (EMB VI) to respond to the massive oil spill in Oriental Mindoro, Palm Concepcion Power Corp (PCPC) donated hazmat suits and KN90 face masks for use by volunteers in cleaning up shorelines.

The oil spill caused by the sinking of MT Princess Empress resulted in widespread damage to several parts of Mindoro, Antique, and Palawan leaving seas polluted.

PCPC, the owner of the 135-Megawatt Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion Power Plant in Concepcion, Iloilo, promotes environmental protection as well as health-related initiatives through its PCPC Cooperation Alliance on Restorative Efforts and Sustenance (PCPC CARES) Program.
