PRO-6 has new patrol cars, firearms, and OLCIMS Office

Police Regional Office 6 held the blessing ceremony of the new patrol cars. firearms and OLCIMS Office at Camp Delgado, Iloilo City on Dec 2, 2020.

Five units of single cab 4×2 Toyota Hilux patrol cars and 200 pieces of Galil Ace 22N Bar (made in Israel) were issued by the PNP National Headquarters at Camp Crame, Quezon City to PRO-6.

The five patrol cars were distributed to the municipal police stations of; Cayauan, Negros Occidental, Balete in Aklan, Sigma in Capiz, Caluya in Antique and San Joaquin in Iloilo.

The 200 units of Galil is for high risks municipal police stations region wide.

PRO6 assured that the new patrol cars and firearms will immediately brought to the end user across the region to boost their police operations as part of intensified security drive and enhancing region’s operational capability.

Meanwhile, the Online Communication Imaging and Monitoring System (OLCIMS) office was also inaugurated. This one of the technological advancement of the Philippine National Police under the PNP SMART Policing Project spearheaded by no other than TDCO, Police Lt. General Caesar Hawthorned Binag.

It serves as imaging, monitoring, highway and as well security of all the communications of the PNP that travels through the internet. The OLCIMS will operate 24/7.

Present during the activity is Lt. Gen. Binag, Brigadier General Rene P Pamuspusan, former PRO-6 director; and Police Brigadier General Rolando F Miranda, the new PRO-6 director.
