In line with the celebration of 119th Police Service Anniversary on August 6, 2020, the Police Regional Office 6 conducted gift giving activity at SOS Children Village, Rizal St. Brgy. Poblacion, Zarraga, Iloilo on Aug 5.
106 neglected/orphaned/abandoned children from four to 20 years old benefitted from the activity.
This initiative is in partnership with the Officer’s Ladies Club 6 headed by Mrs. Emma Gustilo.
The program was supported by the following donors:
-Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) donated canned goods, 3 boxes of noodles, 1 sack of rice;
-PRO-6 Officers Ladies Club (OLC) donated 96 boxes of vitamins (Syrup) and 18 boxes of Ascorbic Acid;
PRO-6 gave 3 sacks of rice, 106 bags of health kits, 106 packs of biscuits, 76 gallons of alcohol, 106 pieces of face mask and 106 pairs of slippers.
“This is our own way of reaching out and helping our underprivileged brothers and sisters especially in this time of Pandemic” Pamuspusan said.
The SOS Children Village is a global federation that works to protect and care for children who have lost custody or are at risk of loosing custody. They have been in the Philippines since 1967.
