Effective police works entail collaborative efforts not only from the community but from the church sector, as well.
Anchored on this, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has moved for the launching of the Revitalized KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan) Program all over the country.
In Westen Visayas, the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) launched the PNP Revitalized KASIMBAYANAN during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, October 10, at the PRO-6 Grandstand at Camp Delgado, Iloilo City.
The PNP KASIMBAYANAN is a community mobilization program highlighting the synergized and collaborative partnership between the PNP and the general public through the intervention and help of the religious sector towards the goal of a holistic transformation that involves the PNP and the community it serves and protects.
Furthermore, the program provides an interplay among three important sectors by transforming the PNP members as community-based bridge builders to increase community involvement in pre-empting, preventing and solving crimes.
Juan Jovian Ingeniero, Department of the Interior and Local Government 6 (DILG-6) regional director, was expected to grace yesterday’s launching as guest of honor and speaker. However, he did not make it and was represented by his assistant regional director, Maria Calpiza Sardua.
She lauded PRO-6 for spearheading the undertaking and also cited the other stakeholders for their cooperation.
She also vowed to work with their other partners toward the maintenance of peace and order.
“Tulong-tulong po tayo upang maabot ang layunin ng programang ito. Sama-sama tayong mamuhay sa mapayapa, maayos at maunlad na bansa. Life is beautiful… Ang pangarap nyo ay pangarap ko rin,” Sardua said in conclusion.
