Prometheus, the only full-service marketing firm in Western Visayas, received a nomination in the 2023 Marketing Excellence Awards Philippines.
The “Bugal sang Kwarto Distrito” (Pride of the Fourth District) campaign for the Fourth Congressional District of the Province of Iloilo earned the nomination in the Excellence in Public Sector/Non-Profit Marketing category.
Tourist destinations in the Fourth District of Iloilo Province – consisting of the towns of Anilao, Banate, Barotac Nuevo, Dingle, Dumangas, Dueñas, Passi City, and San Enrique – experienced limited exposure, leading to missed opportunities for economic growth.
The “Bugal sang Kwarto Distrito” campaign promoted the entire district through an innovative microsite that hosts a map wherein tourist can easily plan out their itineraries, including the local attractions, accommodations, and other information to help them explore the district’s rich history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking natural landscapes.
Six months after its launch, the campaign was able to raise awareness, generate curiosity, and funnel tourist visits to the Fourth District of Iloilo, establishing the district as a must-visit location and ensuring a prosperous future for its residents.
The Excellence in Public Sector/Non-Profit Marketing category recognizes the best public sector or non-profit campaign, initiative, or program that raised awareness and successfully drove business objectives for government initiatives, community services, and/or NGOs.
The Marketing Excellence Awards Philippines is organized by Marketing Interactive Magazine, Asia’s leading source of advertising, marketing, and media news, which recognizes exceptional campaigns and talent.
Back for its 3rd edition, the awards “serves as a benchmark for marketing excellence, honoring innovative and impactful campaigns that have set the Gold standard.”
The industry-leading awards are judged solely by an independent panel of senior, client-side marketers. Winners of the Marketing Excellence Awards will receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze trophies during the awarding ceremony on October 13, 2023.
