PSA-Guimaras Recognizes Top-Performing LCROs in 35th Civil Registration Month

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Guimaras kicked off the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM) with an awarding ceremony honoring top-performing Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) on Feb. 3, 2025, at the OMAS Function Hall, Poblacion, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.

“The awarding ceremony honored top-performing LCROs for their exemplary service and dedication in delivering efficient and accessible civil registration services,” said Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare.

Among the highlights of the event was the recognition of the Best LCROs in the province:

  • First Best LCRO – Jordan LCRO
  • Second Best LCRO – Nueva Valencia LCRO
  • Third Best LCRO – Buenavista LCRO

Losare praised Jordan LCRO for its exceptional contributions, including:

  • Sponsoring 745 free Certificates of Live Births for disadvantaged individuals.
  • Conducting the most number of civil registration-related activities to raise awareness and educate the public.
  • Assisting 248 individuals under the Birth Registration Assistance Project, the highest in the province.

Other LCROs were recognized for their contributions:

  • Sibunag LCRO – Awarded for timeliness and accuracy in submitting Decentralized Vital Statistics System (DVSS) reports, ensuring efficient civil registration data management.
  • Nueva Valencia LCRO – Acknowledged for digitizing the most legal documents, with 20,184 records successfully digitized in 2024, significantly improving accessibility and efficiency.

The awarding ceremony concluded with remarks from Jesusa M. Millondaga, MCR of Jordan and GCRI President, who expressed gratitude to all participants and encouraged continued dedication to civil registration services throughout the month-long CRM celebration.
