The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Iloilo has begun field operation for the 2023 Updating of the List of Establishment (ULE) and 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) Non-Household Survey last May 2, 2023.
The ULE’s objective is to provide an updated list of establishments and enterprises with information on the:
-basic characteristics,
-distribution of establishments/enterprises by characteristics,
-distribution and list of establishment-based commercial livestock and poultry units,
-distribution of micro, small and medium establishments based on total employment grouping,
-distribution and list of establishments who received and/or require financial support/aid,
-information on business births and deaths and other business demographic indicators,
-distribution and list of establishments by current status, and
-list of emerging industries.
This round of ULE operation has the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries Non-Household Survey as a rider survey with involved establishments that engage in agricultural and fishing activities.
This includes farm and fisheries operations for commercial, personal consumption, and research purposes, and will be using 4 types of questionnaires; for agriculture – growing crops, agriculture – livestock/poultry raising and culturing insects/worms, aquaculture, and fishing.
PSA Iloilo hired 42 personnel composed of 7 Team Supervisors, and 35 Statistical Researchers (SRs) who were trained last April 24 to 29, 2023 at Days Hotel by Wyndham in Iloilo City.
The SRs will visit 15,694 and 8,646 establishments in the city and province of Iloilo, respectively.
The 2023 ULE will be using four option in gathering data such as tablet based survey, CAPI (Computer aided Personal Interview), aper and Pencil Inverview (Establishment Inquiry Form) and PDF Fillable form.
For the 2022 CAF Non-Household, the enumerators will be using PAPI. The operations of these surveys are expected to be completed on July 31, 2023.
