The 2022 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) operation started on April 17,
2023 with 10 hired personnel composed of one (1) Receipt and Control Clerk (RCC) and nine (9) Statistical Researchers.
The survey also involves 13 regular and COSW (contract of service worker) employees. They were trained for the operation on 11 to 13 April, 2023.
The survey aims to collect and generate information on the levels, structure, performance and trends of economic activities of the formal sector of the economy in 2022.
The data that will be collected from the survey will serve as bases from which the government and the private sector formulate policies and economic development plans, and will be used specifically in constructing national and regional income accounts of the Philippine economy; formulating and monitoring plans/policies in the attainment of national and regional economic goals; determining and comparing regional economic structures and performances; analyzing economic performance of MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises); conducting market research and feasibility studies; and updating the sampling frame for establishment-based surveys.
There are a total of 812 establishments in the list of samples of PSA Iloilo to be visited in the province and in Iloilo City.
The field operation started on April 17, 2023, and expected to finish on July 31, 2023. The PSA Iloilo headed by OIC-PSO Jerry Dolutan is encouraging the establishments and enterprises to cooperate for the smooth sailing operation.
