PSA Resumes National ID Registration in Iloilo, Negros Occidental

PSA Iloilo brings National ID registration closer to the community, ensuring every Filipino can enjoy the benefits of the National ID system.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has resumed National ID registration services in Iloilo and Negros Occidental as of January 20, 2025, with enhanced processes and expanded services to accommodate more residents.

In Iloilo, 13 registration teams are deployed across the province, offering mall-based and mobile registration services to ensure accessibility.

Registration locations include SM City Iloilo, Robinsons Main (Quezon Stree, Iloilo City), and Gaisano Balasan, operating seven days a week at varying schedules.

Operations at Iloilo International Airport will resume on January 22, 2025, catering to travelers, particularly Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

The PSA Main Office on Iznart Street continues to serve as a Fixed Registration Center for demographic updates and corrections.

National ID registration in Iloilo covers demographic and biometric data collection, tracking ID delivery, printing paper-based IDs, and offering Digital ID assistance.

National ID registration resumes in Negros Occidental, bringing services closer to Negrenses at fixed and mobile registration centers.

In Negros Occidental, PSA Chief Statistical Specialist John F. Campomanes encouraged residents to register, highlighting the National ID’s role as a valid proof of identity that simplifies transactions in both public and private sectors.

Registration services in Negros Occidental are available at Fixed Registration Centers at the PSA Provincial Office and several malls, including Ayala Malls Capitol Central, Robinsons Place Bacolod, SM City Bacolod, Gaisano Grand Central, Gaisano Grand Silay, CityMall Victorias, and CityMall Cadiz.

Mobile registration teams will also visit barangays, local government units, and Local Civil Registrar Offices to bring services closer to underserved areas.

Registration Requirements and Accessibility

Both Iloilo and Negros Occidental offer free registration and demographic updates for the National ID. Applicants need to present one valid government-issued ID, such as a Certificate of Live Birth, school or company ID, or barangay certificate, to verify their identity.

In Iloilo, services include ID issue resolution and digital ID assistance, while Negros Occidental ensures a comprehensive network of fixed and mobile centers to reach as many residents as possible.

Streamlining Services

The temporary suspension of services in Negros Occidental allowed PSA to recalibrate its procedures for improved efficiency.

Residents in both provinces are encouraged to take advantage of the expanded services, which aim to provide faster, more accessible registration to meet the growing demand for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).
