The 2021 Gatorade-Philippine Superliga (PSL) Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup is all set after no positive cases were reported among all teams.

A total of 57 people comprised of PSL players and team and tournament staff were given clearance to conduct their practice after getting their negative results.

Teams from Santa Lucia, F2 Logistics, and Abanse Negrense were the first batch of teams who arrived early in Subic Bay.

Tournament Director Ginio Panganiban confirmed the first batch were all negative and immediately gave the green light to proceed with training.

“We checked in around 1:30PM yesterday and we got our results this morning. We immediately went to practice after breakfast. From that practice, okay naman ang feedback ng players,” said Sta. Lucia team manager Von Mojado.

An additional 36 players, team and tournament staff, match officials, and broadcast team already underwent saliva testing done by the Philippine Red Cross and had negative results.

Included in the second batch of teams are United Auctioneers Inc., Kennedy Solar Energy-PetroGazz, and Toby’s Sports.
