ROEDIL “JOE” GERALDO a prominent and multi-awarded multimedia artist from Talisay, Negros Occidental is known mostly for his powerful terracotta sentinels and his mastery in multi-dimension arts which are made evident in his pseudo-surreal paintings and drawings.

His recent take on figures, space and perception are showcased in his series; “Psychedelic Dream in a Wild World” which opened last January 11, Saturday at The Negros Museum in Bacolod City.

“In a state of consciousness, the images we see trigger how we feel in a dream state, how we feel triggers the images our minds create. In a particular sense, what we see around us and how we see them initiate recollection more than familiarity. So that our manner of perceiving where we are has a lot more to do with our memories that it does with the actual visual plane” Geraldo said.

The exhibit displays 30 artworks that delve into a world, descriptive of a dreamer’s vision; caught in exchange between experience and the experiencer.

The exhibit will run until January 30, 2020 located at the ground floor galleries of The Negros Museum.
