ILOILO CITY Mayor Jerry Treñas warned that he will publicly shame employees who are charging fees on all transactions in the City Hall.
Treñas issued the warning after receiving reports that some departments at the City Hall that are charging fees on some government transactions.
“May mga nabatian ko mga may mga department diri nga certification na man lang or ano da nga requirement ginapangayo sa ila manukot pa sila,” he said.
According to Treñas, he will publicly interrogate the guilty employee.
“Kabalo naman sila kung sin-o na. Kun may mabatian gani ko nga indi maayo, patindugon ko di sa kilid ko kada flag ceremony kag mangkuton ko kung tuod,” he told the City Hall employees during the regular flag ceremony on Monday.
The mayor emphasized that government officials and employees should serve the public instead of taking advantage of them.
“I want to prove a point nga ari kita tanan di para magserbisyo, ginapabudlayan naton ang tawo daw indi nami,” he stressed.
