QUALITY EDUCATION FOR AKLANONS: Uswag Ilonggo gives Aklan more than 200-million worth of new classrooms

KALIBO, AKLAN – Congressman Jojo Ang of Uswag Ilonggo Party-List, along with Aklan Governor Jose Enrique Miraflores, spearheaded the groundbreaking and unveiling ceremony which marks the start of the construction of 14 new school buildings in Aklan, March 27, 2025.

This initiative aims to address classroom shortages and provide students with better learning facilities. Among the school buildings that will be constructed in various locations across the province are the following:

  • Php 46,200,000 for Kalibo Elementary School – 4-storey 12-classroom building.
  • Php 15,750,000 for Madalag National High School – Two 1-storey 2-classroom buildings.
  • Php 15,750,00 for Libacao National Forestry Vocational High School – 2-storey 4-classroom building.
  • Maloco National High School in Ibajay – 3-storey 6-classroom and 1-storey 2-classroom buildings.
  • Php 31,500,000 for Balete Integrated School – 3-storey 6-classroom and 1-storey 2-classroom buildings.
  • Php 23,500,000 for Aguinaldo T. Repiedad School in Banga – 2-storey 4-classroom and 1-storey 2-classroom buildings.
  • Php 15,750,000 for Camaligan National High School in Batan – 2-storey 4-classroom building.
  • Php 35,100,000 for Altavas National High School – 3-storey 9-classroom building.
  • Php 31,500,000 for New Washington National Comprehensive High School – 3-storey 6-classroom and 1-storey 2-classroom buildings.

Cong. Ang emphasized the importance of improving educational infrastructure to enhance students’ learning experiences “by building these classrooms, we are ensuring that Aklanon students have access to quality education in a safe and conducive environment,” he said.

The additional classrooms will help accommodate more students, reduce overcrowding, and improve overall learning conditions.

This project is also a collaborative effort with Aklan 1st District Congressman Carlito Marquez, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Education and the local government units.

Uswag Ilonggo Party-List continues its mission to uplift education in Aklan as this initiative is expected to significantly improve the learning experience for students, paving the way for a brighter future for the youth in the province. (ADV)
