The Rain or Shine Elastopainters notched a much-needed win against the young Blackwater Elite to get out of their three-game slump, 82-71.

Mac Belo and the Elite provided an early scare for the Elastopainters as the athletic forward unloaded three straight three-pointers in the opening period and looked to attack the defense every chance he had.

However, the veteran Rain or Shine squad began to click after they made several defensive stops and was able to take advantage of the turnovers committed by Blackwater.

Beau Belga and Jayvee Mocon looked sharp as they were able to shoot the ball well compared to their past three games.

Belga finished the ball game with 14 points while Mocon resurrected himself back in the double-digit scoring column after chipping in with a game-high 19.

Despite a hot-shooting start for Belo and the guys in red and black, their high-octane offensive assault was held to just 37 total points in the second half.

Rain or Shine also improved its scoring after shooting the ball terribly in their last two games against Magnolia and Meralco, seeing themselves score 82 points after scoring under 80 the past two showdowns.
