Ilonggos are uniting to ensure the continued progress of Iloilo City under the Treñas brand of leadership.
Raisa Treñas has taken the lead in the mayoral race against her perceived opponent, former Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, according to the latest survey conducted by Random Access Consultants Inc. (RACI) on October 1 and 2, 2024.
Raisa is the official candidate of Team Uswag for the position of Iloilo City mayor.
Survey results show that Raisa leads by 12.3 percentage points over Mabilog.
Among the 600 respondents, 55 percent chose Raisa, while 42.7 percent favored Mabilog.
Raisa, the eldest daughter of incumbent Mayor Jerry Treñas, grew up witnessing her father’s dedication to public service over the past 40 years. This has greatly influenced her commitment to serve the community.
Behind Mayor Treñas’ successes, Raisa has worked diligently behind the scenes, supporting her father in various capacities.
Currently serving as his Executive Assistant, Raisa oversees crucial projects and programs in the city.
With a background in public service, she is determined to advance the progress of Iloilo City and stand up for the Ilonggo family.
“I would like to express my gratitude for the overwhelming support shown by every Ilonggo. This reflects the trust that the people of Iloilo have in our capability to lead a highly urbanized city,” Raisa said in a statement.
Raisa, who is set to file her Certificate of Candidacy (COC) along with Team Uswag today, expressed that she is deeply honored and humbled to be chosen as the official candidate for city mayor.
“I may have big shoes to fill, but I believe in our collective effort. With your trust and support, we can continue the work we’ve started, ensuring that Iloilo City remains a safe, peaceful, and progressive home for all of us. We are one Iloilo family, and together, we can continue to make Iloilo a city we are all proud of,” she added.
Endorsing his daughter for the mayoral post, Mayor Treñas expressed his confidence in Raisa’s capacity to lead.
He believes that with her dedication and passion for public service, Raisa will take Iloilo City to the next level.
“Sa iya pagsulod sa pag-pangalagad, makit-an ko gid ang akon kaugalingon sa pamaagi kon paano ko gin-umpisahan palanggaon ang pagserbisyo sang tampad kag pagtib-ong sa padayon nga kauswagan sang aton syudad. I trust that she will lead with integrity and care for every Ilonggo,” Mayor Treñas said.
