ROXAS CITY, Capiz – One of Region 6’s top five most wanted individuals was arrested on Thursday morning, January 2, in Roxas City.
Police operatives from Roxas City Police, the Capiz Police Intelligence Unit, and the 1st Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company, under the supervision of Police Colonel Albert D. Tapulao, apprehended the suspect, alias Jun-jun, 42, at 9:34 a.m. in Barangay Inzo Arnaldo.
The suspect is listed as a top five most wanted person by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) and faces charges for three counts of sexual assault, with no bail recommended by the court.
A resident of Barangay Culajao, Roxas City, the suspect fled after charges were filed against him. He is currently in the custody of the Roxas City Police Station for proper disposition.
In a separate operation, the Tapaz Municipal Police Station, Capiz Police Provincial Office, and Lambunao Municipal Police Station arrested a 32-year-old farmer wanted for theft on Thursday noon, January 2, in Barangay Poblacion, Tapaz, Capiz.
The suspect, alias JR, of Barangay Siya, Tapaz, Capiz, was arrested based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Alonette Sicad Ragodo-Perez of the 6th Judicial Region, Lambunao, Iloilo, dated December 10, 2024.
The court recommended a PHP 10,000 bail for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
