Research and Literary Fiesta from UPHSI’s Humanistas

The Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences Strand (HUMSS) of UP High School in Iloilo (UPHSI) exhibited their research and literary outputs developed for the past two years of their senior high school stint through a fiesta-themed event conducted via Zoom and Facebook Live last 22 and 23rd of June 2021.

Dubbed “Tukib: Pagpabugal sang Kinaadman,” the first day of the culminating activity saw six research groups present their research studies with topics ranging from student activism, mental health, HIV awareness, fake news, SHS employability, and local art themes.

On the second day of the event, literary presenters exhibited their special set of creative writing pieces, from poetry short films to drama animations and short story trailers.

The event gathered not only students and faculty members from UPHSI, but also representatives from UP Visayas, Iloilo National High School – Senior High School, Iloilo National High School – School for the Arts, St. Paul University Iloilo, De La Salle University, UP Integrated School (UPIS), Singapore American School, University of San Augustin, St. Vincent Ferrer Seminary, Regional Science High School for Region VI, Technical Education and Skills Authority (TESDA), and Philippine Dermatological Society.

The presentation was part of the Culminating Activity class of HUMSS 12 under the advisory of Prof. Early Sol Gadong. (Ms. Addyvel Myles Aldon & Mr. Ryde Rendell Ponsaran, UPHSI)
